Trip Logistics

Do you pick up from the cruise ship port?
Yes! We offer convenient pick-up and drop-off directly from the cruise ship port to maximize your time on the water.

Will my trip be mixed with other people?
No, all of our trips are private. This ensures a personalized experience tailored to your group’s skill level and interests.

How many people can you take?
Our trips can accommodate up to 4 guests.

Experience & Safety

Do I need fly fishing experience?
No prior experience is necessary! Your guide will provide instruction based on your skill level, whether you’re a first-timer or a seasoned angler.

Will we see bears?
Juneau is home to a healthy bear population, and while sightings are possible, bears typically avoid people.

Should I be concerned about bear encounters?
We have never had any issues with bears while fishing. Our guides are trained to handle wildlife encounters with caution, and we carry bear spray as a precaution—though we’ve never had to use it.

Fishing Locations & Conditions

Where will we be fishing?
We fish in a variety of remote creeks—typically choosing from 8 different locations. The specific fishing spot is determined on the day of your trip based on marine weather conditions, fish activity, and run timing.

Do we fish from a boat?
No, all fishing is done from the shoreline. If you have limited mobility, let us know in advance so we can choose a location that best suits your needs.

Is all the gear provided?
Yes! We provide everything you need for a successful day on the water, including: High-quality fly fishing gear, Waders and boots, Raincoats, Water and snacks.
